Post-fever Pancakes

Has your toddler kept you up for two nights in a row with a 39+ degree / 102-3 degree fever? Have you awakened to a blood-stained pillow from their bloody nose? Are you worried they’re not drinking enough? Eating enough? Are you worried they have COVID…or worse? Are you exhausted and in serious need of coffee and sustenance?

Well, worry not, dear readers, for if you make @oliahercules buckwheat pancakes, you will soon discover that all is well. A toddler can’t scarf down five of these little guys in rapid succession if they’re deathly ill…right? Yeah: I didn’t think so.

But, seriously, Theo is more than likely fine and these pancakes are way way more than a sick Sunday treat. Run, do not walk, to this recipe. It’s in #summerkitchens and in our family brunch rotation forever.

PS: My pancakes, with maple syrup and Transcarpathian bilberry jam, are in my stories. 🫐

UPDATE: He is now on pancake number 6. SIX! 🙃
