Day 4: April 2022

Oof! Life has thrown me for a loop this past week, so Iโ€™m a bit behind my self-induced #12daysofdeliciousness posting schedule. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ I know my millions of followers must be oh-so-disappointed ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Back on track. Here we go. April! Hot and sour silken tofu! ้…ธ่พฃ่ฑ†่Šฑ๏ผ

I used to say if I could choose only two cuisines to eat for the rest of my life, theyโ€™d be Mexican and Thai. I had a very thought-out, sensible reasoning behind this (totally useless and fanciful) pronouncement. ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธBut Iโ€™m here to announce that I was wrong. Itโ€™s Chinese and Iranian. All day. Every day. For all time. Hands down.

An Iranian-American from Michigan. Living in London. Whose โ€œcomfort foodsโ€ include tachin and tofu. Thatโ€™s me! Go figure. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

And this tofu was soft and spicy and soothing and crunchy and nostalgic and insanely delicious. (And super easy and cheap to make, btw.)
